Many Hands ……

Wielding loppers, hedge trimmers and rakes with a will, 20 volunteers set about the annual clearance of the Glebe Meadow yesterday, 27th January. On a bright, cold morning the banks of the Beck and the hedge along the Harleston Road were cleared of leaves, vegetation and the many twigs and branches that came down in the recent storm. The sides of the hedge were trimmed and all the debris was carted up to the bonfire pile at the far end of the Meadow. There’s still a bit to do but the Meadow is well on its way to a spruce, welcoming look for spring. Many thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time to help. It was especially nice to welcome some new faces to the group.
